If you want to become a successful businessman, you will have to speak English to your clients. If you want to see yourself working in a good organization, you also need to clear your interview in English. English is required in every field, including sports, films, jobs, business, and politics, for building a bright future.
Speaking English is gradually becoming a necessity for all students to build their successful careers but the big problem is that only very few students have realized its emergency by time. Students have been facing difficulties in interviews after completing their schools and higher schools. Students have very little confidence in themselves about their ability to speak English. Some good qualified and eligible students have been losing good and moderate opportunities to get themselves hired by either government or private companies, just because they could not speak English confidently in their interview round.
Now let us find out the reason why students find it difficult to speak English. Most students have completed their schooling from regional schools where they have been taught either in Bengali or Hindi. They were not asked to do any conversions in English with their friends and teachers which led them to stay deprived of English speaking practices. The most significant way to acknowledge this is that students have one or more English papers in their syllabus which they have to study hard to clear and most students do so. Therefore students have sound knowledge in English but that is only limited to their writing skills. They know grammar and they can also construct sentences in English but they just cannot speak English and that is only because they do not have regular practices of speaking English.
English medium students can speak English fluently because they have been forced to speak English since their childhood at their school. Those kids who are from English medium schools find it very comfortable to speak English with anybody anywhere. Even the little kids of classes four and five speak better English than the senior students of regional schools. They always have the extra advantage of cracking the interview session over those students who have been continuing their schooling at regional schools. It is not because students of English medium schools are more talented compared to that of Bengali or Hindi medium schools but it is only because English comes out very easily when the students of English medium schools speak as they have been practicing the same since their childhood.
Every student of Bengali medium or Hindi medium schools must start practicing speaking English from their childhood so that they will not stay behind the students of English medium schools. Therefore the earlier you will start the better it will be for you.
It has been observed that the senior students who are reading in class ten or higher feel too shy to open their mouths when it comes to speaking English. The fear of speaking incorrect English pushes them to the corner bench which keeps their mouth shut and as a result, they never learn to speak. It is first required to remove the fear of speaking English; we do not speak our mother tongue correctly, so even if we do not speak English correctly, there is no shame if someone starts speaking the wrong English it is still ok. Unless you start speaking you may not find the mistakes and unless the mistakes are recognized and identified they cannot be rectified. Therefore it is important to start today and continue practicing because practice makes you perfect.
We will make a friendly environment for our students to discuss various topics in English. It will be fun learning English and not any unwanted subject which has to be cleared by compulsion.
We will remove your fear of speaking English so that you will be comfortable with us sharing your thoughts in English. Once you overcome your fear then you can easily increase your fluency in English.
There will be no fear of speaking incorrect English because if you were the perfect English speaker then you would not have joined us. It is quite expected that you will try hard and there will be lots of mistakes and those will be improved gradually by spending time with us in our center.
A self-introduction is a process in which you are going to introduce yourself directly in front of either a single person or a group of people in a presentation, meeting, or interview. The self-introduction part is a professional as well as casual speech mostly used for business purposes and in academics.
How do I introduce myself as a student?
Begin with your 'Name and Place' after greeting. And if necessary, add family details to the introduction. Be brief about educational details, from sharing areas of interest and hobbies to ideas and inspiration. Share your prior experience (if any) and recreational activities.
Public Conversation is interactive communication between two or more people. The development of conversational skills and etiquette is an important part of socialization. The development of conversational skills in a new language is a frequent focus of language teaching and learning.
What is conversation and its types?
In a competitive conversation, people are more concerned about their perspective, whereas in a cooperative conversation participants are interested in the perspective of everyone involved. Based on direction and tone, I grouped conversations into four types: debate, dialogue, discourse, and diatribe.
Formal communication is exchanging official information between two or more people within the same organization, by following predefined rules and using official channels of communication. Mostly, it is done in written form.
What is the meaning of official communication?
Official communication or formal communication is the name given to the type of exchange of information. It takes place within a formal or official place between colleagues or with higher-ranked officials.
Expansion of ideas is the method by which you go into further depth of your ideas. You must first understand the meaning and then try to restate the given phrase or statement. The best technique to expand a sentence or a proverb is to write synonyms for the original keywords and then expand it using those synonyms.
What is expansion of idea in easy language?
Expansion of Idea means to understand and to describe the meaning and idea given in the particular text. The text may be a Proverb, an Idiom, a Title, a Poetic Line, or a Good Thought. The words used in this text are rather symbolic. The words are systematically decoded, which implies a very artistic value.
A well-prepared speech that relies on research, clear organization, and practiced delivery, but is neither read nor memorized. The word extemporaneous means "without planning" and is considered a synonym for the word impromptu.
Extempore is an activity in which topics are given on the spot, and candidates have to speak and perform on the given topic. Candidates need thinking abilities and good communication skills to ace the Extempore topics. They also need to maintain a positive attitude and convincing body language.
The impromptu speech is to be of two minutes duration with three minutes preparation time. The speech is intended to reveal a competitor's ability to develop a point of view on a general topic and to deliver an impromptu speech within limited preparation time.
The general discussion is a session in which the candidate's abilities are evaluated, including leadership, communication, social and behavioral skills, courtesy, teamwork, listening skills, general awareness, self-assurance, and problem-solving abilities.
Discussion is defined as talking or writing about something, especially to solve a problem or resolve a question. An example of a discussion is when two or more people disagree and decide to sit down and talk out their different opinions.
The most thought-provoking way to start a group discussion is to ask a question or add a famous and relevant quote to the topic. You can simply grab the attention of everyone as an initiator and thus lead a powerful group discussion by using a question on the topic.
A discussion group is a group of individuals, typically who share a similar interest, who gather either formally or informally to discuss ideas, solve problems, or make comments.
Group discussion is a comprehensive technique to judge the suitability of an individual and his appropriateness for admission, scholarship, job, etc. assesses the overall personality thoughts, feelings, and behavior of an individual in a group. A topic is presented to the group members for discussion.
Group discussion is when a group of people comes together to discuss a certain topic. Many Recruiters use group discussion to test a candidate's communication skills, leadership skills, test topic knowledge, etc. Two other types of GD test the lateral thinking of a candidate.
The Types of Discussion are Debate, Dialogue, Discourse, and Diatribe. When talking with someone, it is helpful to know what type of conversation you are in. You can do so based on a conversation's direction of communication (a one-way or two-way street) and its tone/purpose (competitive or cooperative).
Debate is basically an argument where participants take a particular stand on a given topic and stick to it as they speak on it. A group discussion, on the other hand, is a cooperative process in which members discuss a topic and reach a consensus.
A debate is a discussion or structured contest about an issue or a resolution. A formal debate involves two sides: one supporting a resolution and one opposing it. Such a debate is bound by rules previously agreed upon. Debates may be judged in order to declare a winning side.
What is the aim of debate?
The primary goal of a debate is for students to generate effective critical thinking into primary issues in the given topic.
What is Introduction to debate?
As with many types of text, the purpose of the introduction in a debate speech is to do several things: grab the attention of the audience, introduce the topic, provide a thesis statement, and preview some of the main arguments.
It is a written work that tells a story through action and speech and is meant to be acted on a stage : play. : a play, movie, or television production with a serious tone or subject.
Drama is the specific mode of fiction represented in performance. It is a play, opera, mime, ballet, etc., performed by a group. Considered as a genre of poetry in general, the dramatic mode has been contrasted with the epic and the lyrical modes ever since Aristotle's Poetics the earliest work of dramatic theory.
Interrogation is interviewing as commonly employed by law enforcement officers, military personnel, intelligence agencies, organized syndicates, and organizations with the goal of eliciting useful information, particularly information related to suspected action.
Although the purpose of both interviews and interrogations is obtaining information, the interview is an informal procedure whereas the interrogation is formally questioning a person with information about a suspected action.
A commentary is a description of an event that is broadcast on radio or television while the event is taking place. He gave the listening crowd a running commentary. That programme will include live commentary on the sports and game.
Story Making refers to the method of presenting in which the writer narrates a series of events that has led to a problem, the progression of the same and the end result that has led to the current situation of the characters in the story.
A story making is a work of "fiction or imagination" that is usually written in "easily understandable grammatical structure" with a "natural flow of speech". Story making is meant to be read at a single sitting and therefore it should be as direct and brief as possible.
A story is the telling of an event, either true or fictional, in such a way that the listener experiences or learns something just by the fact that he heard the story. A story is a means of transferring information, experience, attitude or point of view. Every story has a teller and a listener.
A news report should include the following, Headline. It tells what the story is about. It covers the most important facts. Includes a detailed account of the event and occurrence.
Spot news in journalism is the latest news reported immediately. Spot news is news that is reported as it happens from the location at which it is happening.
What is spot news examples?
At some point in your career, you have faced spot news. Maybe it was a fire, car crash, murder, robbery or drowning. These events can happen at any time: day, night or weekend.

Common topics for news reports include war, government, politics, education, health, the environment, economy, business, fashion, entertainment, and sport, as well as quirky or unusual events.
